Today, I strongly believe that the future has arrived, and it's more pressing than ever - being an AI centaur is not just an advantage but a necessity in our rapidly evolving job market.

I find the story of the chess legend Kasparov, who played against IBM's Deep Blue twice in two years really fascinating. He won the first match in 1996 but lost in 1997. Many predicted the end of competitive human chess - in fact, a documentary titled 'Game Over: Kasparov and the Machine' was released supporting that notion. Kasparov, however, didn't sulk. Instead, he adapted and created Advanced Chess by partnering with AI. The story reminds me of this picture.

Many of the tech systems we frequently use daily, like Google or mobile apps, are now powered by some sort of artificial intelligence. But how does this translate to various career fields? Let's explore:

• Healthcare: The latest OpenAI o1 model, for example, was found to accurately diagnose specified diseases in seconds and also match human specialists in precision. Doctors can leverage AI models for quick diagnoses and use their experience and expertise to make quicker final decisions.
• Marketing, Finance, and Consulting: The days of being the corporate Excel sleuth are over. Gaining mastery of these increasingly powerful AI models can be the key to gaining your boss's confidence and accelerating your career.

I strongly believe fighting the AI wave is futile. Innovation always wins in the long run. The smart ones aren't fighting the tide; they're learning to surf it. Here are two main tips for becoming an AI centaur.

1. Continuous Learning: Platforms like Coursera, edX, and Udacity offer courses on AI and its applications in various fields. Don't just learn about AI – learn how to use AI tools relevant to your industry.
2. Experiment with AI Tools: Start integrating AI into your daily personal and work workflow (of course, make sure your work is comfortable with you interacting with AI platforms with company data). Whether it's using ChatGPT for brainstorming or industry-specific AI tools, get comfortable working alongside AI.

Lastly, be adaptable. The job market is changing rapidly, and humans who master AI models will outperform those who resist change. Will you be a centaur or be left behind?
